Summer barbecue and volleyball

Under the sun of July, students from diverse backgrounds joined in the spirited volleyball matches, showcasing their skills and forging connections. The aroma of sizzling BBQ filled the air as attendees savored delicious grilled treats, adding a flavorful touch to the event. The combination of sport, food, and camaraderie made this spontaneous event a true celebration of community and togetherness.

What a wonderful evening we had at the story telling event co-organized together with ETH for Development - ETH4D and ETH Student Project House  !
Students and researchers from the African community at ETH Zürich took the stage and shared with us their inspiring stories behind their commitment to global sustainable development. The event was accompanied by musical contributions from Amaru Küng & Johannes Küng ! We thank you for those beautiful stories and those amazing artisitic moments. African Leadership for a Sustainable Future: Stories to Inspire

At this storytelling event, co-​organised by the African Students Association of Zurich (ASAZ), ETH for Development (ETH4D) and the Student Project House for this year’s Sustainability Week Zurich, you will meet African students and researchers working for global sustainable development in a wide range of fields – from electrification to sustainable infrastructure to food production and more.

As announced in the newsletter we are going to have our first get-together on the 25.02.2022 this year. We are going to have some raclette and in addition an Extraordinary General Assembly will be held regarding changes of membership fees payment options.

Dear members and friends you are all welcome to join our Zoom Round Table Wednesday, May 20th at 5pm (Zurich time) under the title “Africa in time of a pandemic: How are people coping with the Covid-19 crises?” Our speakers, who were involved alot lately with people in different areas of Africa for the nature of their work or voluntary involvement with associations and movements during the pandemic, will present their stories, data and analysis of the situation to help start the discussion with all the participants. In this session, we will discuss how people are reacting during this crisis, fake news, social and economic issues and a lot more.Join us to enrich the discussion with your own experience and view points.
